Kasper Langkjær has, since october 2003, become our drummer in DmD as a replacement for Kasper Foss, who left us unexpectedly. Kasper is absolutely DmD’s youngest member up to now, in that he was borne on the 7th Nov., 1975 - this is why he is called “Young Langkjær” buy the rest of us.

Kasper was born in Hjørring, North Jutland - and is from a school teacher stock. “ A family with a large student debt,” as he explains. He is a very good drummer, who has quickly caught onto the DmD-style, to the great satisfaction of the old uncles, who refer to him as “ close to being the best drummer we have had. “ This perhaps because of his training at the “Rytmisk Konservatorium” - perhaps is inborn talent - perhaps the fact that he is left handed and opposite to all other left handed drummers, plays on a right handed set - and uses both his left and right hand to the back beat on the small drum. It is a bit complicated to explain - so we will soon make a small photo series, which can illustrate this strange phenomenon.

Kasper is a good and companionable person - completely devoid of being star crotchety. He has a very good sense of humour - and then for some reason or other, is particularly good at speaking Scanian - just like Uncle Stanley. So the two of them have many interesting conversation in this delightful language.

Kasper has performed with an ocean of Danish musicians since he left the music conservatorium in 1999 - from where the following can be named: Etta Cameron, Tamra Rosanes, Ivan Petersen, Annette Bjergfeldt, C 21, Poul Krebs, Al Agami, Ester Brohus, Annette Heick, Peter Belli, Johnny Reimar og Keld & Hilda. Actually, only Sussi & Leo, remain and that would be the lot... after he started to perform with DmD though, he has had to concentrate on his performance with us - and with Annette Bjergfeldt, when DmD takes a break.
